American tool maker Leatherman has recalled their “Leap” multipurpose tool. This tool was designed for younger users and includes two safety locks to keep fingers out of the way of the tools within the tool itself. The recall was done because the locking mechanism on the optional knife blade can inadvertently release posing a serious laceration hazard for the younger users.
American Honda has recalled their EU7000isN AT. 7,000 Watt gas powered generator. This generator was released last year as Honda’s new series of generators proving to have greater performance and run quieter. This generator was fuel efficient, cleaner running and ran longer. However, it has been recalled due to a failing frame support during lifting that can cause an impact hazard. Also, the owners manual can have missing or duplicate pages.
The Mirka CEROS650 – 6″ Electric Sander and the Mirka CEROS550 – 5″ Electric Sander has been recalled because the orbital sanders can short circuit while in use posing a fire hazard.
Manufacturer Rocky Brands recalled Georgia Boot Steel Toed Shoes due to a failed steel toe protection system. When compressed, the steel toe can fail to protect feet which could lease to a more serious injury if something was to impact one’s foot.
